Hi, Thanks, Peter for your comments. Some people assumes that any change will be slow and we will have time to react. Perhaps we will have two years, as the policy development takes about two years. I do not think that this approach is safe enough. If the number of PI address space chunks exceed the number of LIRs than we might realise that the RIPE NCC works mostly for the PI address owners. Is this our intention? If RIPE would allow 100 000 PI route objects to be created and other RIR would do the same than the Internet would die very soon. OR: All ISP would filter of all PI annuoncements ;-) and all PI address would became totally useless. More route object not only mean more memories and perhaps new linecards/routers, however, also slow down of routing convergence. So, please be realistic, and formulate some realistic limits NOW. The numebr of LIRs served is just a hint, however, not a bad hint. Best, G�za
