From BECHA at ripe.net Fri Oct 31 17:56:04 2014 From: BECHA at ripe.net (Vesna Manojlovic) Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2014 17:56:04 +0100 Subject: [All-anchors] New features for RIPE Atlas anchor hosts In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <5453BF24.2020809@ripe.net> Dear RIPE Atlas anchor hosts, I want to highlight some recent features that are specific to you, in addition to the new measurements UI and tagging feature we just announced: https://labs.ripe.net/Members/suzanne_taylor_muzzin/ripe-atlas-new-measurements-ui-and-tagging First, in order to be able to share your anchor?s configuration details, as well as the benefits you receive from hosting an anchor, you should have a *group account* as the primary contact. You can then share the credentials among your colleagues, and a personal account can be added as a secondary contact. Both primary and secondary contacts will receive notification emails from us. Please let us know if you want to change your primary contact to a "group" account. Also, we?re asking all anchor hosts to please add your NIC handle to your anchor page, which you can find on the RIPE Atlas website under ?My Atlas? and then ?Anchors?. This makes it easier for other anchor hosts or members of the community to communicate with one another by finding the appropriate technical or administrative contacts. If you don't have a NIC handle, you can learn more about what it is and how to create objects in the RIPE Database here: http://www.ripe.net/lir-services/new-lir/first-steps-as-a-ripe-ncc-member#create-your-first-person-object We have also added more information to your anchor page (https://atlas.ripe.net/probes/anchorID/), including your company?s logo and a link to your company?s website, your NIC handle (if we have it), hostname, and a shortcut to your anchoring measurements. There?s just basic functionality at the moment, so the next step is to improve this interface ? let us know what you think! We?re also making it possible to schedule more measurements towards your own anchor and all other RIPE Atlas targets. Technical details on request :) Finally, if you?d like to help us spread the word about RIPE Atlas anchors, you can download a printable brochure: https://atlas.ripe.net/flyer/anchors/ Thank you for participating in RIPE Atlas. I look forward to meeting (some of) you at RIPE 69 in London next week!
